How fast can you respond?
We aim for same-day callback to confirm appointments. Most jobs in Gauteng are scheduled within 24-48 hours. Urgent burst pipes and emergency leaks get priority slots — call 079 947 8936 if it can't wait.
Where do you work?
Gauteng (full province — Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, Sandton, Randburg, Fourways, East Rand, West Rand, Vaal and 200+ suburbs in between), plus Mpumalanga (Witbank, Middelburg, Nelspruit, Secunda, etc.), Limpopo (Polokwane, Tzaneen, Mokopane, etc.) and North West (Rustenburg, Brits, Hartbeespoort, Klerksdorp, etc.). 228 areas in total. Do you have to dig up my garden or floor?
No — detection is non-invasive. We use thermal imaging, acoustic listening, tracer gas and CCTV drain cameras. The whole point is to pinpoint the leak BEFORE breaking anything. Repair work then targets only the exact spot.
How much does leak detection cost?
Pool leak detection is a professional flat-rate (detection only — repairs quoted separately). All other services are quoted upfront based on site, methods and access. No hidden costs, no surprises. See our pricing page for the full breakdown.
What does professional flat-rate include for pool leaks?
Site visit, thorough inspection of the entire pool system (shell, plumbing, skimmers, returns, lights, main drains, spas, water features), all testing methods needed to confirm the source, plus a WhatsApp report with photos or video explaining the cause and recommended fix. Repairs are billed separately.
Will the professional flat-rate cover the repair?
No — professional flat-rate is for detection only. After detection we provide a separate written quote for the repair. You're never obligated to use us for the repair; the WhatsApp report works with any plumber.
Do you provide reports for insurance claims?
Yes. We supply detailed written leak detection reports with photographs, methodology, findings and recommendations — formatted for water damage and burst pipe claim submissions. Major South African insurers (Santam, Discovery, OUTsurance, MiWay, Old Mutual Insure, King Price, Hollard, Auto & General, Budget) typically require a leak detection report before approving water damage claims, and ours are designed for exactly this.
My water bill suddenly tripled — can you help me dispute it?
Yes. Sudden bill spikes almost always trace to a hidden leak — underground supply lines, pool plumbing, irrigation systems, slab leaks or silently running toilets. We trace the source and provide documentation suitable for credit application with Joburg Water, Tshwane, Ekurhuleni or your municipality.
Can you detect leaks under tiles, slabs or paving?
Yes — that's exactly what non-invasive detection is designed for. Acoustic, thermal and tracer gas methods locate leaks through tile, slab, paving and concrete without breaking anything first. You only break ground where the leak actually is.
Do you work weekends and after hours?
Yes — seven days a week, 07:00 to 19:00. Saturday and Sunday slots are available, often same-day for urgent calls. After-hours emergency response can be arranged but may carry a premium.
How do I book?

What payment methods do you accept?
EFT, card and cash are all accepted. Payment is taken on completion of the detection — before the repair quote is issued.
Do you fix the leak after you find it?
Yes — once detection is complete we provide a separate repair quote. Detection and repair are billed separately. You're free to use your own plumber for the repair; our written report is designed to work with anyone.
What detection methods do you use?
It depends on the situation. Common methods: thermal imaging (heat signatures from hot water leaks or damp), acoustic detection (listening for pressurised water escaping), tracer gas (hydrogen-nitrogen mix that escapes at the leak point and is detected at surface level), pressure testing (isolating sections of pipework), CCTV drain cameras (for drain blockages, cracks and collapses). Most jobs use a combination.
Can you find leaks in plastic pipes?
Yes — but plastic pipes are typically too quiet for acoustic detection alone. For plastic supply lines, pool plumbing and PEX systems, we use tracer gas detection, which is the most accurate method available for these materials.
Do you work with estate agents and conveyancers?
Yes — we provide pre-purchase drain CCTV surveys and leak inspections for property transactions. The reports are formatted for legal use in sale agreements and can identify defects that affect the property's value.
Do you cover townhouse complexes and apartment blocks?
Yes. For complexes and bodies corporate we coordinate with managing agents, isolate leaks to specific units or shared infrastructure, and provide reports suitable for trustee meetings and special levies.
Is leak detection worth it for a small leak?
Usually yes. A 'small' leak running 24/7 wastes thousands of litres per month — often more than the cost of detection. Worse, slow leaks cause hidden damage to slabs, foundations and structure that's expensive to repair later. Better to find it early.
